The Best Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies
For When You’re Feeling Extra Lazy

Hey there, lazy bakers! Sam Carver here from TakeItEasy.Blog, and today I’m sharing the ultimate lazy-guy recipe: the best easy chocolate chip cookies.
These bad boys are soft, chewy, and loaded with chocolate—perfect for when you want a sweet fix without the fuss.
Trust me, if I can whip these up on a Netflix binge break, you can too.
I’ll be honest—my baking skills are usually limited to “open box, add water, stir.”
But one lazy Sunday, I had a craving for warm cookies, and the store was way too far (aka, I didn’t want to put on pants).
So, I rummaged through my pantry, found some basics, and threw together this recipe.
The result? Pure magic.
These cookies are now my go-to for impressing friends (or just treating myself) with zero effort.

Minimal ingredients: You probably already have everything in your kitchen.
One bowl, no mess: Because who wants to clean up? Not me.
Quick bake time: 10 minutes in the oven, and you’re golden.
Endless variations: Swap in nuts, use dark chocolate, or go wild with peanut butter chips—whatever floats your lazy boat.

The Recipe: Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 12-15 cookies (or 10 giant ones, no judgment)
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter, melted (microwave it—easy)
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips (milk, dark, or a mix—your call)

Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper—or if you’re out, just grease it with butter.
In a big bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
Crack in the egg and add the vanilla. Stir until it’s all buddies.
Dump in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined—don’t overdo it, or they’ll get tough.
Fold in the chocolate chips. If you’re feeling extra, toss in some chopped nuts or a handful of oats.
Scoop the dough onto your baking sheet. I use a spoon because cookie scoops are for overachievers.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers still look soft. Let them cool for a minute (if you can wait), then dig in.

Lazy-Guy Hacks
Freeze the dough: Roll the dough into balls, freeze them on a tray, then toss them in a bag. Bake whenever the craving hits—no need to thaw, just add a minute or two to the bake time.
Use a microwave: Melt the butter in the same bowl you’ll mix in to save on dishes.
Skip the measuring: Eyeball the chocolate chips. More is always better, right?
These cookies are proof that you don’t need to be a baking pro to enjoy warm, gooey treats.
They’re soft, chewy, and disappear faster than you can say, “I’ll just have one.”
